Boss DS1 + LS2?

Hello everyone, I have a DS1 that I bought when I was just barely beginning to play. I never found a real use other than sucking my low end so I was thinking in getting an ampeg scrambler bass overdrive, but I recently saw the boss LS2 and I´m thinking in getting it instead and using de DS1 as an Overdrive and blending back my signal with the LS2. Will I get lost in the mix? I´m also thinking that the LS2 may be useful for later. Thks
