Boss GT 1000 Core with Sansamp BDDI

Recently got the GT 1000 Core and want to use it with my BDDI which will go direct to the PA via the XLR out.
Is it as simple as connecting a patch cable from the R/Mono output of the GT 1000 Core to the input of the BDDI?
I’m comfortable getting the tones I need with the BDDI so for now I’d just use the GT 1000 Core as a multi effect pedal.

I'm probably asking the obvious question, but it's better to be sure before you start tinkering with your sounds: Did you use any IRs or preamps on the GT? If so, that might explain why it doesn't sound as expected. The GT will overlap and interfere with the BDDI settings. Same with EQ settings.
Even if you did not, some tweaking on both will be required. Together they wil always sound different compared to running them stand-alone.

Using the GT-1000CORE with a Bass

Guitar

If you’re using a bass guitar, turn bass mode on.

1. Press the [EFFECT] button.

The edit screen (effect chain) appears.

2. Turn knob [SELECT] to select “MST.”

3. Use the PAGE [K] [J] buttons to move to the last page.

4. Turn knob [2] (BS MODE) to select “ON.”

If you’re using the X Bass Compressor.

A mild compression setting:
Threshold - 45
Attack - 50
Level - 55
Tone - 50
Ratio - 10:1
Direct Mix - 50

An aggressive compression setting:
Threshold - 10
Attack - 100
Level - 90
Tone - 50
Ratio - ∞:1
Direct Mix - 100
And if you put a clean boost or a pre amp before it, you can get some very long sustained notes.

@ OP In case you missed this, and it could because it is reeeally small :
When on the compressor-edit-screen (on the device) you have two meters, one on the left top corner and one on the right top corner. The left one indicates the input signal level, the right one shows you the amount of compression. This could give an indication of what you are doing.
