Cool shootout. Always liked roland/boss stuff but... the helix seems to be catering a little more to bass players with specific effects and amp sims aimed directly to us. Having said that - a lot of generic effects work well on bass.

I have heard on TGP forums that the GT-1000 sounds great played with a bass, but I have not yet seem a single demo video with bass.
Boss GT-1000 firmware version 3.00 now includes Bass amps and Bass effects.
