Boss GT-1000. Just released new multieffect.

Looks very good.
I've had bot the gt-1 and gt-1b. I now own the MS-3 and I really really really like the sound. Use it for both bass and guitar. If this new GT-1000 also include bass effects its a winner. I love that it can be adjusted via bluetooth.

Looks like Boss' version of the Helix and/or Headrush?
It would be cool if they included some bass specific items! :)
Thank you for posting!

I'm keeping my eye on this one. There's some speculation as to whether 3rd party cabinet IRs (.wav) can be loaded into this new Boss unit. Some at NAMM are claiming that it CAN. I'm waiting for a more solid confirmation and the owner's manual before I start frothing at the mouth. Also, size/weight and bass offerings are of supreme importance to me, so Boss had better be coming up with something that really differentiates it from the Helix/Helix LT and Fractal AX8 for me to give it a serious thought.

Size & weight data are available already on Boss website. It's not as big and heavy as GT-100 and the Helix, about 75%. It's kinda par with AX8 and definitely is still larger than GT-1.

If it lets you use one of the fx returns as an extra input, with parallel signal paths, like the Helix can do, they may be onto a winner.

Edit: Although I note on GAK (uk store) the Helix LT is almost £200 cheaper. Boss needs this device to be incredible to justify the cost.

Looking at the specs, yes.
It has 2 x S/R loops, both with HiZ 1 meg ohm impedance inputs. Suitable for passive inputs.
It also does 4 x parallel effects routing, from the effect layout in the editor screen capture, it looks like it does 28 effects at once.
It is also 32 bit float A/D D/A and the preamps AIRD processing seems to do some sort of proprietry I.R. modelling.
The guitar demos seem a bit rough, but there are a couple of good ones which show the tube like tones and character.

Still it would be great if those who went to Boss booth at NAMM could report had they go through all the GT-1000 menus despite with the non-finalized f/w looking for any bass related settings, or even better if anybody did manage to plug in a bass guitar to the GT-1000 and nodding with it.

Checked out parameters - definitely not geared towards bassists at all...

While many effects work for both - no amp or cab sins for bass - no bass specific effect modelling although the dist don't have bypass there are ways to globally bypass a clean signal...

Really wanted to like it but it looks like helix is the better choice...

I think the GT-1000 amps should work well with bass, the amp types they have gone for here are not based on brand types, but generic types.
I had the GT-100 and the Natural Clean, Advanced, and the Custom types worked very well for bass.
The Effects sound nice, it the has the awesome Boss 32 bit 500 series effects (RV500, DD500, MD500) and MDP (multi dimensional processing) effects.

It has a firmware update coming in May to add custom IR (impulse response) loading, you can use 4 and use the main and Sub outputs as 4 independent outs with different cab sims.

A small handful of people have one now, next production run due to land end of May.

The IOS (iPad) and Android editors are out now, so they can be used offline to check out the parameters and settings.

Not sure if we will see any bass demo with it soon, but as a comparison with similar modeler/MFX units here is a guitar shoot out with the
