Double Bass Boss L1 for double bass

In a thread from several years ago there was a short discussion about using a Schertler DYN-B into the Bose L1. As I remember it was a positive review. You have to have at least one of the bass modules, possibly two. IMHO it's very pricey and actually not all that portable.

I did a few small concerts like that. I found that to get a good audibility near the L1 (with the bass pod on the ground) required too much level for a folk venue. Now I use the PJB superflightcase and much prefer it.

I know an electric player nearby who uses one with 4-bass pods as his main rig. He is pleased with it.

because of my problem about getting out more power from doubler+wizzy 12M (I've posted a tread on this subject),in spite of adding another cab, I was wondering about sanding the signal from the doubler and passing trough the boss L1.The aim is to achieve much more power,avoiding to bring with me two wizzy,trying to stay on the same sound quality that my system alone can achieve.

If you are thinking of lining into an existing L1 then maybe you will achieve increased dispersion although maybe roll off the lows end to let the M12 carry the bottom.

If you are planning to purchase the L1 to do this I think 2-M12's would be better.
Personally, I never went into the L1 again after I got the PJB.

I took a look at the pickups you're using, a Schertler DYN-B and a DPA 4099. What a cool (if somewhat expensive) setup. I truly admire you for going with what should be a very acoustic DB sound. Both of those units are known for there "authentic reproduction" of the instrument.
That's most likely why you are having difficulty with the power issue, since neither of your sound sources is a piezo. That's not a bad thing mine you, just an observation, based on the type or equiptment you are using. The trade off of course is that they can't get as loud before feeding back.
