Boss LS-2 Distorted / Clean blend - but is it possible to just have distorted setting on.?

I'm currently running my bass > rusty box DI> ls-2 > eqd Acapulco gold (effect loop a) > amp.

I'm loving the sound of my clean sound (rusty box DI) mixed with the eqd Acapulco Gold, as in a band setting the Gold would sick a lot of the low end of the bass out, as do most distortion pedals. I currently use the A+B bypass setting to achieve this.

However, would there be a way to just have the disrtoed signal play without the clean signal underneath? I think it would sound cool to have the distorted guitar sound play then press a switch to activate all the low end. At the moment I can only play the clean tone then add the distortion.

Many thanks - still new to this pedal!

I'm kind of doing it splitting my signal with a TU-3.

Clean goes to output and distorted goes thru bypass. Then clean signal goes in the input Jack of the LS-2 qnd the distorted signal goes in return A (or B). I set the line selector on A+B mix mode.

When tuner is off and LS2 is on, I have both signals. When both are on, i get just the distorted. Both off gives me Just the clean signal.

I don't think you can do it with the LS-2 alone.

To the OP, I'm not sure what you are wanting to do. Are you wanting to just switch between your distorted and clean and not mix the clean with the distorted? If so, have your tried running a jumper on the B loop of your LS-2 (single patch cable from B SEND to B RETURN) which will give you an individual 'clean' loop, then set the LS-2 MODE to A<->B, then adjust the LS-2's LEVEL knobs for unity on each loop, and then use the LS-2 footswitch to toggle between loop A 'distorted' and loop B 'clean'?
