Boss ME-20B set-up question

I just acquired an old Boss ME-20B pedal. I like it a lot and now I want to set-up the banks to my taste with effects I would use most of the time. I looked through the manual but it is incomplete in detail about how to set-up each pedal in each bank.

I would like to have some banks programed with a single effect only and other banks programmed with two or more effects together. The manual talks about using the "Edit/Exit" and "Write" button but is unclear about how to use it to customize each pedal/bank. Someone help please?

It's dead simple, really. Get into memory mode, select the patch you want to edit, press edit/exit, adjust parameters, edit/exit again, press write and you're done.

That's right. First step is to have it in memory mode.

Next, be aware that you are overwriting an existing factory patch.

To save the new patch, I think you have to press "write" twice. The first time, it will flash as if to ask "Are you sure?"

Go through the manual and let us know if you're stuck on a particular step.
