Boss od-200, anyone try this on bass?

Has anyone here tried the boss series 200 OD on bass?

I expect mine to be delivered next week. Will be running it in the crossover loop of a Sugar Britches pedal, allowing preservation of the low frequencies set at an adjustable point. Just wish I could control the crossover frequency via an expression pedal, because each effect or pedal going into it could be fine tuned on the fly.
Although, the Boss is programmable so I don't foresee needing to change the crossover often once presets are established.

Also in the loop is a Zoom B1 Four for modulations and possibly cabs for Boss OD-200 to feed into.

It will be on a board with a Genzler 4OTF, Empress bass compressor, Source audio C4, Tech 21 Q Strip, and a Mozztronics DI2.

I'll update with pictures and sound clips if the OD-200 earns it's way to the roll of Velcro.

Forgot about this thread because mine should up bricked from an apparent firmware update failure. I never was able to use it, I received a refund and haven't bothered to try again. Wish I had good news to report instead.

The guitar overdrives and distortions in the GT 1000/Core only sound any good with a clean channel. The GT has a really good HP/LP filter and crossover feature for doing that. I'm assuming it's the same situation with the OD 200 and using something like the LS 2.

I high pass the guitar drive channel at about 400hz, and leave the clean bass channel full range. Sounds good to me.

Resurrecting this thread because I picked up a used OD-200 this weekend. So far I've only had a chance to try it direct through monitors and headphones but for my needs it seems great. I prefer natural, amp breakup like tones with the occasional wooly fuzz. Every demo I'd seen on the OD-200 seemed to be high gain guitar so I was concerned but this does low gain really, really well.

I have been using a Source Audio Aftershock for a couple of years and the sounds that you get out of it are incredible. The ability to call up base level sounds and tweak to make them your own via the app is fantastic. What I have never liked about the AS is the interface. I would generally reassign the knobs via the app to be wet/dry blend and bass blend, but this varied between the 6 presents for me and it got confusing. That's on me for being inconsistent but it was an annoyance I always had in the back of my mind. I wanted true wysiwyg and more than 4 parameters to control.

The OD-200 seems to be remedying that with the 3 band EQ. I'm amazed at how much bass is on tap with everything set to noon (0 on the readout, with positive and negative values), but giving a bit of boost or cut is easy to do and understand. The tradeoff is that I'm not getting Darkglass or B:assmaster starting points but what's in a name? Most of my sounds are covered in the OD, BD, Screamer and Fuzz settings. There's an option to stack a boost and you can treat this like stacking engines on the AS, although its much more limited in the control of that stack although you can switch from series to parallel and get some very different tone shaping with it. All in all, I'm very happy, ymmv.
