Other 2 B honest I have never tried the Digi Bass Driver and i have a long time luv/hate thing with the odb3. I either want an overdrive or over the top fuzz and the odb3 is neither and both in a bad way for me, but it has a new home on my mini synth board and seems to be doing the trick for that. At the moment I am using several fuzz pedals: Boss SD1 guitar overdrive but it works and pushes the others over the top; Zeibek Cross Drive brown sound fuzz for bass; Hjart Muller Lo|Fat bass overdrive nice crunchy OD with plenty of bass; GGG Brass Master for total stun fuzz (feedback paired with the SD1); I also sometimes use the fuzz from a BassBalls or the OD on the Uni Bass.

I voted other. Had the ODB-3 for a while. Loved it, hated it. It does fizzy, it gets loud, it gets loud. I couldn't find anything I liked with it, and was constantly changing it every time I played. I borrowed a BassDriver from a friend, and found that I liked the sound better, but it still got into the fizzy, high pitched mode too. Haven't found anything better that I can get my hands on.

,,,NOT the Boss.
I owned both and hated the Boss. The Bass Driver is not a fantastic pedal, but it has some good sounds, unlike the Boss...
I still own the Digitech.

You may also want to look at
MXR M80 for distortion.
Ibanez PD7 Phat Hed for nice distortion, overdrive and edgy metallic overtones
Danelectro Cool Cat Transparent Overdrive for nice mild overdrive.

Voted other.
Diddo to eirik's comment on the digitech and noise.
The Boss is in my current setup, but not my main dirt pedal. The mix feature on the Boss is good, but the drive is limited in charactor. Seems to work well when used to get some synthy sounds with my POG. I have a HBE Hematoma (main OD), Fulltone Bass-Drive, Bass Pig (main Distortion) and an Messdrive Hybrid for fuzz on the board too.

other. I've never tried the bass driver, but I have an ODB-3. I only use it when I want to be nasally and annoying. It's very noisy too (not good noise). Although I will say it gets a little better when in a blended effects loop (I use an LS-2). I hear there are some decent mods for it.

I'd say decide what exact qualities it is you want... subtle overdrive, fat overdrive, distortion, all out fuzz, warm, nasally, etc. Then find the pedal that does that.
