Boss rc-10r question

this pedal isn’t officially out but there are a bunch of demos and I’m getting tired of watching them to try to find an answer to this. Perhaps someone here knows. Does anyone know if this pedal allows you to save loops and play them as “one shots” like the jamman series? Basically allowing you to use the pedal as a foot controlled sampler?

From the looks of it the pedal includes a drum machine and basic looper which both would be great for me for practicing at home and noodling around playing solo looping type stuff. But with my band I want to be able to record sound effects and short keyboard loops for filler between songs at gigs like I have done in the past with the jamman and jamman stereo pedals. I could get another jamman for that but I don’t like how when running bass into a jamman I’ve had issues with both signal to noise ratio and the bass clipping the input on the Jamman. They are tone suckers. So I always kept the jamman out of my bass signal chain which doesn’t allow me to use them as a basic looper for bass. I’m curious if this pedal could be a solution for these two different ways I want to be able to use a looper.

I'm sorry I can't answer your question but have you considered a small loop pedal to take the Jamman out of your signal path when you're not using it? Or do you just not like the Jamman in general?
Ive done that before and it does work for the band using a jamman as a sampler outside of the bass signal chain. When I was doing that I ran the output of the jamman to a radial pro di then to the PA. But The jamman doesn’t work well as a bass looper for the reasons I talked about above. I much prefer the tc ditto for looping bass. So over the years I’ve had to use different loopers for different purposes and I’m looking for one looper that can act as a sampler for gigs with my band but can also be used to loop bass at home without a bunch of tone suck or pedal clipping

You can do this! I’ve been studying the manuals (there are 3 of them!) in anticipation of this pedal, and you can save loops/samples as one-shots a la RC-3 & RC-30 etc. I think it’s explained in the parameters guide;

I’m going to use it in a similar way. As you can run the dual loops in parallel or in series, I was hoping it’d be possible to keep one loop running whilst cycling through one shot samples, (I currently use a RC-1 and RC-3 simultaneously for this), but sadly I don’t think you can. To be fair though, this seems to be the only thing it can’t do!
If anyone can tell me otherwise though, please let me know. If I can sell my RC-1 and RC-3 I’ll be halfway to affording this one!

Now I have a question..!

Apparently, on some of the dual track boss loopers it’s possible for the tracks to be different lengths. For example, track one could be 16 bars, and track two could be 4 bars and would loop 4 times in the time that track one loops once.
Can anyone tell me if this is the case with the RC10R? I know you can run the tracks in series or in parallel, but if you can do the different track length thing when they’re in parallel, that would be amazing.
