Boss TU-2 Problem

My Boss TU-2 works fine on battery and shuts off as soon as I plug in the PSA adapter. I know the PSA is good from trying it on other pedals. I can't find info for this issue on line. Hoping I can fix it cheap and if not, guess it's time to replace it. I have a clip on tuner but I prefer the pedal. Thanks!

The DC jack contains a little switch, and if this part gets corroded or dirty then you can have problems with either battery or external supply. Try spraying some contact cleaner in there, and if that doesn't do it then the jack may need to be replaced.

That's one possibility anyway.

Sprayed some cleaner/lube in the DC jacks and plugged it in....wait for it....IT WORKED! Thanks bongomania!

Well, it wasn't a dirty DC input jack. It was the PSA. I had picked up my other PSA when I was at band practice so when I sprayed the cleaner/lube all it did was clean and lube the jacks. My original PSA was intermittent and I guess when I tried it it worked. Now the big question is does anybody know what the common failure is? I still get the green light, but when I plug in the original PSA the pedal dies.
