Boss tu2 broken

The on/off switch in my tu2 is broken; its a little plastic unit under the pedal, has a plunger that when pushed down is supposed to click and turn it on or off. Now: no click and no switching. Is this repairable/replaceable? I've had it for at least 18 mos., purchased @ local shop, don't think warranty will help. Any experience or ideas? Thanks!

It shouldn't click, it's only a momentary switch, but if it has stopped working then it may need replacing. Keep in mind that there could be some other fault causing it. Have you tried pressing the switch with your finger?

You can just send it to me, and I'll dispose of it...

You may have to get someone who knows how to work on them to put a proper momentary switch in there. Not just any switch will work.

Miracle cure! Last night after I posted I took the housing and bottom off just to see how accessible the switch is [not very, for someone with my skills]. I managed to get it put back together, just checked it and it's working . I was guessing it was the switch because the little setting buttons on top were working, but the tuning mode was dead. Now I know it's not supposed to click. Thanks for the input and ideas.
