Botched Repair, need advice

After looking at the guitar, reading the replies here and then rethinking everything....I plan to go to my bank on Tuesday morning (my next day off) and ask to have the charges reversed. I am not happy about this experience at all.

I can post pictures as well, I am kinda surprised that no one asked already.

Thanks everyone! Love all the different opinions and replies.

move on...
I think your username is especially cool because this pre-loaded pickguard actually has the David Gilmour push-pull pot.

Thanks for your input! The customer service really isn't that great at this place. I picked the guitar up on Saturday around noon, when I got home I realized the tremolo arm was missing and I called them immediately and they said they would look for it and call me back. I waited till Tuesday and I called them back because they never reached out to me. When I realized the extra string tree was also missing, I called them again. And it was the second time that I called them about missing parts and they never called back.

I sent a polite but very strong worded email that included the damages, missing parts and the G string was buzzing. I requested a refund and said I would go to the bank to reverse the charges. That was kind of a bluff because I'm not sure it would have worked out.

They promised me a refund and it finally hit my account yesterday.

Thanks for you checking in. I will request my gear doesn't leave their store in the future. I did drop off a Fender Nashville Telecaster today on my lunch break. The output jack is crazy noisy right now, it's basically unplayable.

I have been very unhappy with Music Showcase in Brandon FL

Yeah, try @Goatrope's recommendation of 7C Music here in St. Petersburg.

Read this for their combined experience level. I've never used them before, but I have a warm and fuzzy feeling they know what they're doing.

I only found them online last week. Turned in a new bass yesterday for fret leveling/crowning/dressing. Was quoted $160, estimated a week. Besides the receptionist, Joel was attentive to the point of noting on the instructions that two strings (B and E) are top loaded, remaining 3 are string-thru. Gave 'em a pack of strings to install (5 string) when they're done.

And they have a hella fine coffee bar, too LOL.

So if you feel like driving across the bridge into St. Pete, they might be worth checking out.

I have been very unhappy with Music Showcase in Brandon FL so I have been looking for a new shop in the area.

Forgot to do a follow-up on my first time with 7c Music (previous post). They nailed it. Will be using them again, as needed.

Quoted a week, but ready in 5 days. $160 as quoted. Even returned it with my instruction about the E and B string.

This was nothing but a simple fret leveling and crowning. I'm just done with doing them myself.

When I got home, I lowered the strings to an almost unplayable height, and no funky notes on every string for 24 frets. Then raised 'em back up a preferred height.

The public area is clean and artsy. Contains a service desk, small stage for hosted events and jams, coffee/pastry bar, tables and chairs, plenty of guitars hung around. Just a comfortable place. There's a viewing window into the large work area. Looks ready for deep work on instruments. Which makes sense to me since they do warranty work on Taylor, Martin, Fender, Guild, Waterloo, Duesenberg, Fano, and Eastman.

After picking up the bass, wife and I stopped at 3 Daughters Brewing, two blocks away, for lunch.

I am looking into that right now, but just curious: if they are not affiliated with the BBB...what will be the effects or benefits of a report? Just curious but thanks either way.
How often do you check a stores reputation with the BBB? Yeah, me neither. So how effective do you think a complaint with them will be?
