Bought a "used" Boss OC-2 for $40

I went to a Sam Ash today looking for cheap used pedals. The cheapest pedal I found was a Boss OC-2 that was labelled "Used" for $40. I bought it, and it appeared to actually be brand new. There is zero sign of any cosmetic wear, and it functions perfectly. Seeing that this pedal goes for around $80-$100 online, I'm surprised that I was able to find an OC-2 in near-mint condition for $40.
