Bought an M9 and.......

Well I'm really satisfied with my clean tone right now, but I'm looking to get into and begin incorporating effects into my overall sound.

Again, why are you looking for something when you are already satisfied with your clean tone? That's like cheating on a gf...you're satisfied but you WANT more. Not NEED. Now I know why you were disappointed with the m9. You probably plugged it in and thinking it was going to make you a better player, make your rig sound like $5000, make you a rock star. You say you're a metal head but when have you heard effects on bass other than some type of overdrive/distortion on metal songs (not absolute but most of the time)? I'm sorry if I'm coming out like an A-hole but the more I read your posts the more I think you have no clue what you're talking about. I can't even begin to imagine how you are trying to use your m9.

Dude calm down. One of the best ways to test the waters of effects is getting a multi. The M9 is a great choice that grants a ton of options and freedoms that others don't. But with so much to choose from it can be overwhelming in the beginning. That's why we have these forums.
