Bought EMG BQC Preamp and JVX pickups for installing them on my Fender MM jazz bass.
They will replace the stock preamp and a couple of new Fender Super 55 which i didn’t test too much.
The reason if the sudden change was mainly due to my need for a new Preamp providing more tonal options, whereas I didn’t want something to solder after having discarded the Mike Pope one because it had to be imported from USA and may not be delivered in time for my return to my hometown for Christmas.
Wanted to buy the Jv52 but they are passive PUPS and Thomann only had the active version of the BQC Preamp...
So in the end what am I going to expect from this combination? Somebidy has tested it?
