Sometimes I hear people (mostly fusion type arco players) playing a bowed note with a 5th harmonic above it. It is almost as if this 5th is sounding together with the bowed note. I am not talking about the artificial or natural harmonics technique here. It has to do with purposely bowing more to the bridge side than you normally do. Now I can get an octave above with this technique. But I can't figure out how to get a 5th above.
