Boy George...

Ya know I'll probably get shot for this but I actually liked some of the grooves they came up with in the 80's.
Miss Me and Church of the poison mind are the ones that stand out the most. Good band also, I seen a live cut on VH1 classics and they were a pretty together and tight.
He is one messed up dude? though!

i was a "closeted" culture club fan in the 80s. while my metalhead friends pummeled their fists at l'amours, i'd sneak into the car midset and turn up the Boy. it was a welcome respite sometimes.

firstly, he had a fantastic voice; one of the few from that era. and those songs did groove. i also loved his controversial nature. it was a drag [heh-heh] that he went the route of heroin addiction, but in their prime, culture club ruled.

don't let my bandmates know i said that, though.

Did anyone happen to catch him on VH1's "I Love the 80s" last night? What the hell is wrong with that dude (aside from the obvious)? Excellent show though, especially if you happened to actually grow up in the 80s. It's on every night this week at 8PM, CST.

He looks like an ever so slightly better groomed Beetlejuice.

My favorite part of the show was the commercial with the G&R spoof with the cat as Axel. I laughed so hard I got dizzy.
I love those cats! Have you seen the one where they're doing "I Love Rock 'n' Roll"? Good stuff. Cats rule!

Back on topic, Boy does the "Breakup Songs of 198_" on the new 80s Strikes Back series.

I'm not a big Boy George fan.....by any means. He's a woman trapt in a mans body!

But I can respect the fact,no matter how odd, he is being himself. Not caring what other people think of him.
There are far more freaker people than him.

I can also respect the fact that he did and does the music he wants to.

But bottom line, sorry George but I don't "Tumble for ya" :spit:
