Arrived today! It is literally a sizzling and grunting wall of sound that has so many sweet spots. I just wish I had my fretted bass with me but wow, what a sound!

Brassmaster Clones?

Just get a silicon B:Assmaster. Germanium is overrated, IMO, and also IMO silicon sounds better with bass.
The Iron Ether Oxide is inspired in the Brassmaster circuit.
And you also have the TWA Krytical Mass, although is smaller it's still bigger than a Diabolik, but it will only be released in late 2018.
I used a silicon B:Assmaster for a couple years and loved it. Can’t speak to authenticity but it worked great in a mix. Now I am partial to my VFE Wood Chipper. It can do all that and more with the EQ options. Honestly, though, it was pedalboard real estate that decided it in the end, and I’m never selling the Malekko.
I love my Malekko B:ASSMASTER (sil). I will never sell mine either. I used to have a Woodchipper as well but I don't think I really dug into that pedal like I should've given I had no idea what a "real" B:ASSMASTER sounded like back then. I would really like to take it for a spin again.
I have since got the HXFX from Line 6 and I built a really good, and accurate, model of my B:ASSMASTER in there. It totally rips. It would be awesome if they gave the option to use sil or germ. But they don't. It sounds fantastic and accurate either way.

I have a SI and a GE Catalinbread Kama Sutra that I bought to compare, for guitar. The difference in them is subtler than I would have thought, the former being hotter and brighter.
I know that I have a cuppla pedals are SI vs. GE is switchable (at least one is an MXR) - I love this comparison stuff like on the Rat clones that go LED to to LM308 to whatever "turbo" is, or even the varieties of Muffs (op-amp, anyone?)
But, I Like the Diabolik just fine.

As usually has the lm308 and led mode but get called “vintage and turbo”
Fat rat / the fat switch on a clone is mosfet
I've owned an original Maestro BrassMaster as well as a GGG clone and tried many of the BrassMaster based pedals and have found that none really quite hit what I wanted but I am quite happy with the created sounds on my AfterShock or Ultrawave Bass from Source Audio.
At one point when Rats were in my focus I knew this stuff, but couldn't be arsed to look it up again. I prefer the other options vs. the turbo, FWIW.
I have a 80's(?) Rat II LM308, and stuff like a Hoof and a Ironhorse (I think those are Rat variations, and I know I have a few others like from Idiotbox and mebbe Heavy Elec, etc. ...) and I like them (mostly, a lot) but I comparatively dislike the recent ProCo mini-Rat even tho' it has the LM308, but there are a cuppla Chinese clones that are really good, what with the switchable options and nano-size.
And what exactly are the MXR Waza pedals? Are they cloning themselves?

yep there’s a lot of rat clones…
and ummm if you going to criticise something at least call it what it is? The waza are the boss line and yeah some of them seem silly but people seem to like it and buy them *shrugz*
back on topic - looks like hiero and some of the other clones are now getting near unobtainable or at least hard to find compared to a few years ago

And it wasn't criticism - it was an attempt at humor even if I mixed MXR with Boss, and was apparently too subtle for you even with the smiley, even as I praised the DM3 (what you missed the chance to correct me on as it is actually the DM-2W).
