Yep - I had shaken a bunch of stuff off the walls and off of their shelves. I even shook some big skull candle thingy off of their fridge and it broke into a thousand pieces. That makes me smile every time I think about it.

So that was you I heard down here in Gastonia. Wasn't that a rainy Tuesday last summer? Or uh, maybe that was me, just "testing" an Acoustic 370 head with Acoustic 301 cab coupled to a Sunn MV-18 cab. This time in the middle of the room. I'm sure some things were moved some where, since my wife told me that she heard me half a mile away through houses and woods!

Had a tallboy fall off my amp onto my board once. I watched it fall and flip as it came of my amp. I thought, surly, that I had just absolutely screwed myself. Thank the gods it was the unopened beer. For everyone that saw it happen, it probably looked like I crapped my pants so hard it nearly threw me over my amp. Now the only things that go on my amp are picks.

I have my rig setup in my basement, I had the walls rattling couple times where some of the pictures fell off my wall. Luckily it did not break because even when vacuuming it's a nightmare trying to get tiny glass shards out of deep carpet.

Yep. I used to own an Ampeg Isovent cab. It had two 10's up top and two 15's mounted facing each other in the bottom. At the time I lived in an apartment building that was brand new. The only people living in it were me (downstairs) and two skin head rappers (who woulda thought) upstairs. They kept "practicing" when I was trying to get some rest off the road. So one day I fired up the Ampeg (with SVT II head) and gave it all I had. I never heard from them again. I was told two days later by a friend of theirs that I had shaken a bunch of stuff off the walls and off of their shelves. I even shook some big skull candle thingy off of their fridge and it broke into a thousand pieces. That makes me smile every time I think about it.

For these very reasons, I learned my lesson a long time ago - nothing goes on top of my speakers except the amp and rack, of course.

Huge pet peeve of mine is when someone sets a beverage on my amp. Even worse is when someone argues with you about it (ahem ... singers).

I agree. Here is Exhibit A: the stained grill cloth on my Peavey cab caused by drinks vibrating off of the top.

Some stages aren't built as beefy as others. Do a quick jump or two near your stack to see if any there are any resultant rock n' roll oscillations. Nearly lost a beer once because of this. Would have been tragic.
