That's a good way to describe it. Whenever I see him play, it just feels like a giant boot kicking me square in between the cheeks.

While a common reaction, this can really be harmful to your own state of mind as a musician. When I see great playing I don't feel envy or shame, but inspiration and, well, good music! You should enjoy great artists, not feel obliged to compare yourself. No player will be able to nail the niche styles and techniques of every other player because the world of music is too diverse, so it's no cause for worry when a certain player can execute a periphery technique you've never even dreamed of.

I agree; however, I think that I Like TicTacs & Starbucker were just goofing around. The truth is, I simply had my fill. I would go and see him play again. He was amazing. I think I would feel that way about anything after a 3 hours of standing in the same spot.

Back to Brendan Wires. I think that With Or Without You is his best arrangement. There is so much going on that it's hard to believe he's not looping or multi-tracking. It takes so much time and problem solving to create and arrangement like that. Not to mention... Practice!
