Double Bass Bridge Adjuster

BDD38AB4-FEFD-430B-8DD3-BC3F75C61D59.jpeg Is there an easy way to remove this stud? The threads are sloppy and stripped in one area. I'd like to replace it with a new one.

Is it glued in? If you put two nuts on the stud and tighten them together with good force you can put it in a vise and try to turn. If if is glued then heat it (only the metal!) with a torch or heat gun and that might loosen the glue. Anyway, throw those adjusters away and replace them with single piece aluminum ones.

Thanks for the reply. I did just that with 2 nuts on top. I got it out. I think I will replace them.
