For a drop in replacement, it’s important to note the screw mounting pattern (some mount using 5 screws and the strings don’t go thru the body, while some mount using only 3 screws and the strings can go thru the body, etc.).

My favorite bridge for Fenders (with strings that don’t go thru the body) is the one with threaded saddles. But note that Angela offers two (5 screw) bass bridges with threaded saddles…one that they call the ‘58 style that has much finer threads on the saddles, and one with the normal thread size that most people are used to. I prefer the normal one, because it seems like the string would hold its position better than the one with finer threads.

1 of my P has 60s threaded saddles, another 2 has 58s spec.

Prefer 58s saddle which has more precise fine-tune for string spacing to align with pickups magnet pole pieces.

I have Charvel Pro Mod PJ bass which has full brass himass bridge and brass saddle. Full brass himass bridge always sound better to my ear compared to zinc or others metal material.

I have also used and recommended this to a fellow tb’er, there were no issues but IIRC it’s a two piece not a solid cast meaning it has screws attaching the string through section to the bottom plate so if that is not a deal breaker seems to work perfectly fine so far, please someone correct me if I am mistaken.

Yes it’s a 2 piece. Honestly I don’t think it makes a difference vs one piece. It’s not like the saddles are fused to the bridge after all.

I agree, I haven’t had any issues with this bridge, seems solid and does it’s job.

Asking for a (ahem) friend. What wrong with the original issue? I’ll grant they aren’t the most impressive looking thing on a bass (I think that was the original reason why Leo put that ridiculous cover over them) but having played mostly various PBs over the last 50 years , I’ve never had a problem with one.
