Bridge positioning!

Hello!

Im making my own Warmoth Jazz bass, and im gonna have to put bridge on it.. but im not sure where to place it.. Should i set saddles somewhere in the middle of the availiable space ( for settign intonation) and position it on 34" from Nut? Any ideas? Thank you!

I would measure 17" from the top of the 12th fret and make that the point of almost full extension of the saddle. You will never need any saddle on any string closer than 17" to the top of the 12th fret.

Warmoth drills holes for many types of bridges, so unless you're getting a rather unique one, this question is probably moot.
