Bright Flats?

I'm looking to try some new strings. I have been using 6 year old Chromes for the longest time then recently I swapped in some GHS precision flats. The Chromes I was using were the older style from a few years back that had a smoother feel and mellower thumpy sound as compared to the newer Chromes... which I dont quite like. I like the sound of them but they are not as smooth as I like and feel a bit sticky to me.

So besides Chromes what other Flats are out there that are on the brighter side and have a smooth feel?

Been a brite flat fan my whole plaing life. Was what pappa handed down. Hard to find sometimes, I order them from Elderly.com for they give a great break when buying two. I love them, pratically a continuous smooth operator all the way up and down and great sound. I think they are your huckleberry!

Sorry, I now realize you put Bright Flats as title but I thought you mean BRITE FLATS! Here they be in my preferred setup:

Of the dozen or so I've tried, without doubt Roto 77 Jazz Flats are the brightest. When new they are brighter than many round wounds.

With use they settle a little bit but are still bright. Cleaning them thoroughly brings them back to "as new" brightness.

If you're choosing, be advised that the Rotos are among the tightest of flats.

When new or freshly cleansed, TIJF'S are quite bright, but settle into a strong midrange presence with use.

My two cents:

Strangely, I found the E and A strings of my set of (brand new, out of the packet) Rotosound SM77s to be bright, but not the D & G! The smaller two were noticeably dull.
Jason (bass strings on line) sourced a pair of replacements for me (... what a guy!) They still weren't quite as bright as the lower strings.

Cleaning them thoroughly in alcohol brightened them up a bit, but after settling down they still aren't quite as bright as the larger two to my ears.
I ended up taking them off my bass and going back to Chromes.
