Broke an E string last night, first time in 13 years.

The only bass string I ever broke was an E, but that was 3 years ago when I first started playing (also the first time I did anything with music besides listening to it) and wondered what would happen if I tried tuning up instead of down :hiding:. I got really upset when it happened, I even called my mom (I was 14 at the time), and ran out the door to go buy new strings at a local store. All other strings I've replaced since then were because I wanted to change gauges, try a different brand or just because I felt the old ones were too dead and needed replacement. Breaking a string has only happened to me on electric guitars since then, and even that has only happened a couple of times.

goplastic,

thanks for the nice review of the gig! it was super fun! we're hitting nublu on june 22nd if you're around. should be a fun hang.

jimmy: yeah, i've been eyeing the halfrounds... glad to hear that you hate both them and the TI's... they might be perfect for me! but i agree, i used XL's for years, and they are always great. same with chromes.
