Broken pinky

I've had a broken pinky ever since I started playing bass and a few months ago I saw a therapist who told me massage would straighten it out, which actually made it more crooked. Has anyone else here had a similar problem and how did you fix it?

Left hand or right hand? Are lefty or righty?
It all depends on which hand pinky it is, I broke my right hand (plucking hand) pinky a long time ago, and I have managed to play without it, anyway I only used it to play arpeggios on acoustic guitar, which I don't play anymore. For bass I think that the other 3 fingers are just enough for me.
Now if it's your fretting hand pinky it would more problematic, not impossible though, to play. I know a guy who is missing one of his fretting hand fingers and he still is an awesome player.
Anyway if you want to have your finger straighten visit a doctor or something and have him giving you opinions.

I had my left pinky broken a few months after I picked up the guitar. It was reset and cast alongside my ring finger. After 5 weeks the cast was removed, within 2 weeks I had most of my mobility back and within a month it was just fine. This was 6 or 7 years ago, maybe longer.

It sounds as if you didn't have yours reset so if the bone is crooked there'll be no straightening it without rebreaking it. I'm not sure how a massage its supposed to straighten it or how it made it more crooked. All I did was work with a ball, squeezing it to regain strength. It was already straight from being in the cast, the problem I had was bending it.
