Broughton Audio Super Thread

I’ve been dealing with the covid after effects and haven’t felt motivated enough to get on here. It’s some nasty stuff for sure and you never know what it’s going to do to someone.

My whole family ended up getting it in the first couple of weeks of January from different sources. The day I tested positive my mother passed away from it.

My 9 year old had it for like literally a day and she was fine. It took my wife about five days. It took me 12.

Stay safe out there broughton bros.

My sincerest condolences...

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I really appreciate it.

Now for some more on topic/non bummer news. How about that s1 boost? That crazy Canadian of ours finally did it eh? I gots to try me one of those.
I can't compare to an S1, but its been on evwr since I got it. From what S1 owners have reported, the range is greater than that of a S1, so if you run gain on the S1 at 100% and wanted more, there's probably on average 35% more to go. Because of that full clockwise on the S1 has now become about 2-3 o'clock on the SB. The level step also sounds best at 100%, but works well to sort out unity, mines probably at 75%. I love it, plan to use it to attenuate as well

There are also a couple reports of "better for me at high voltage".

Yes, forgot about that. @shaggy45 , the more voltage you use, the farther you can push that gain before it breaks, and each voltage step up does increase overall gain a tad

I just got a newish stingray special, this pedal honestly can get it back into that natural 90s stingray grit, especially placed right after the bass

So very sorry for your loss, my friend. Prayers for peace and comfort during this time for you and yours. My whole family had Covid back in November too, but we made it through. It's interesting. Our experience was pretty similar to yours. My 8yr old had a low-grade fever and headache for about three days and then was fine. Then I got it and was sicker than I've ever been in my life and couldn't get out of bed for about 2 weeks. Then my wife got it and was down and out for about a week.

Take it from your uncle Rick, kids. Covid is no joke. Please take it seriously and be safe out there.
