Broughton Audio Super Thread

Josh knocked it out of the park.

You could sell me back the apex :smug:
Apex reminds me up my first empress, but just cleaner (if that's possible), I'm using it on the back end of everything, I'm guessing like a light limiter. I get the new one has apex in it, but I find it being more unalike to get rid of it..

I'm still messing around but I find the monocomp to even have something none of them have, the ability to take anything I throw at it and just make it warm

I dislike compressors, I don't like what they do to your dynamics and sometimes I feel they help hide bad technique, but most of all I don't like how they make the lower volumes higher, I wish the higher stuff leveled ONLY, guess I'm more of a fan of limiters and not levelers, but the broughton lineup is different, the monocomp warms up the low stuff so nicely it doesn't matter, as with the monocle, the Apex is so transparent you can't hear it, and I think by design? the omni simply doesn't have that trait.

Sometimes I still like the way my bass sounds when I turn off the compressor, but really for the most part they stay on.. sure would have more room for other fun things if they all weren't there though

Seems to take about 80-100 regular stock pedals in few weeks to satiate our endless hunger for Josh's pedals to the point they are still available for more than a couple minutes!

Limited drops where it's 10-20 pedals released every 6 months to a year never stand a chance when the blood hits the water! LOL
200 omnis

One-off releases are minimum 25, usually 30 to 40, sometimes 50 or 100.

Sounds like you need a terra 42.

Some of you might have guessed I'm the guy selling the Omnicomp on the Reverb. Thanks to the advice from this thread I got it dialed in and sounding great. I've been trying to simplify my setup though, and had moved from a compIQ Twain over to the Omnicomp. After playing around with it, I've realized the 1 knob compressor on my amp is sufficient for my needs (and I have a Darkglass ADAM incoming).

There was a discussion regarding my asking price here, which is honestly why I chose to post it on Reverb. I'm not looking to hose anyone, just hoping to break even, and wanted to avoid an in depth group analysis of my ad (which didn't work lol). I get that people want a fair deal, but with all the scalping that's going on, selling certain brands on Talkbass is starting to feel kinda weird sometimes. Hope I haven't ruffled too many feathers.

If anyone is looking for an Omnicomp, I'm probably going to post on TB so I can shave the reverb fees off the price and have a better chance at a sale.

If he’s gonna have a smaller board he should at least use the laser on it.
I did add a nice touch to the new cases, need a little one for the arch
