Broughton ETDI

Anybody know of any videos of this on line?? I'm looking at a few different tube D.I.'s and want to compare this one..

It basically just adds a tube to your signal, there are no controls.

What connects where? Instrument into Input, Unbalanced Out to amplifier input? Or should the ETDI go alone into amplifier effect send/return? Thanks.

I run mine pedalboard -> Aguilar AG Pre -> input ETDI unbalanced out -> Baby Sumo power amp -> cab.

If I wanted to bypass a regular amp's preamp section I'd run it into the amp's effects return.

So the ETDI does not output a line level signal and can go into other pedals and amplifier/combo input?

From the man himself:

The ETDI can be used for warming up your pedal board signal, or placed in the effects loop of a mixer or amplifier. At the same time, the ETDI drives your signal to a mixing board via a transformer coupled balanced output. Additionally, the Thru jack provides an unaffected signal that is in parallel to your input in case you want to send your clean signal to the input of an amplifier.

I’m really thinking of getting this. What effect does it have on tone?

I would try it at beginning of pedal chain, end of pedals into amplifier, and maybe effects send/return loop of amplifier.

Bump. Doesn't seem to be their most popular product, but I'm kinda keen on it. Anybody got any more information?
