I hope there is a single cut with a headstock , I'm really not to fond of the headless bass's. I've had a couple and both had this weird vibration on the lower portion of the fingerboard while playing that I couldn't get used to.

Like I was saying, that was a total surprise. The headstock model would be the norm, with MJX setup.

The headless prototype was also made of Northern Ash. Hefty. That's what the six in my avatar is made of and it's amazing. I doubt that would be the standard wood... but that with a decent set of soapbars and that neck joint sounds like trouble to me.
:D

Kind of surprising how much shorter the bass is without the headstock, which isn't very large to begin with.

Yeah I hear ya the brute is real compact to begin with, so I can imagine the size of it headless. It's going to be a very good NAMM show for sure . Kevin is really doing some cool stuff

WHAAAAAAATTTTT!

Today I learned of headless SC Brutes at the NAMM show. Yesterday I learned that In-N-Out burger is going to have a full size semi truck full of burgers at NAMM...

Now I am SO upset that I wanted to save money and stay on the east coast this January! :crying:

wish i would have pre ordered one of those when kevin offered it up a while back. that thing is freaking sweet!!!!!!!!!! and yes one of those will eventually be mine!!! can't wait to play it see you next week Tom

Hide one for me!!!!!! LOL EITHER WAY LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING IT. i was doing a lot of tracks with my number one brute with bartolini's . but last night threw down some tracks with my new stock JJX5 and everyone liked the tone better than my other one said it has more grind and grit.

THANK YOU for the gracious praise! It's easy to be good when you work with great people (dang it, I just spilled my secret recipe for success! :).

I will be there! Will you be at a booth?
