Btc/BTs Meg pre amp pedal replacement

Hello,

got emg pickups in a bass but I am terrible at soldering and rather than buy a preamp is there a pedal replacement also know they are solderless but the jack plug needs soldering to and found a way round that.

Active EMG pickups have a preamp built in already to amplify the signal. If you want to boost it more, any boost/gain pedal will do that. If your EMGs are not active, a boost/gain pedal will still work for you.

In the title you mention BTC and BT. BTC is a tone control. Any equalizer pedal will give you tone options. You might not be able to exactly match the frequency curves of the EMG tone controls, but with say a parametric EQ pedal, you will have a whole lot more tone shaping options.

upgraded a Spector na 2000 with new pickups but heard they use the Btc preamp but I will do what you said instead ...!
