Bubinga Spector

There's something not quite right about that bass. I'm going to try to get the 'official' word on this bass from the source.
scandalous. It does seem a whole lot more like a Warwank than a Spector.... I'm sure it's still gonna be a pretty sweet bass.

What do you mean?

I'm pretty positive that the neck is ovangkol, not wenge as stated (and mentioned in one of the questions) I also figure the 1 of 2 seemed like it's a little exaggerated.

Anyway, still I love the spector shape and i've been thinking of getting a rebop for a while. Being that I'm such a sucker for Bubinga i had to snap this up when i had the chance.

Sorry gang, I was supposed to post on this last week, but it slipped my mind (it did go out to the Spector groups on MSN and Yahoo though.)

I was e-mailing PJ about some other matters (i.e. the Spector NS2-JCR I'm after...) and I asked him about it. He confirmed the existance of two such prototypes, one of which is indeed staying in Stuart's possession!

To quote PJ briefly: yes the description on that ebay bass is correct, one of two samples from over one year ago. that bass is a little heavy of course! I don’t recall if the stock pickups were DiMarzio or not, they could have been…

Awesome snag, Incognito, congratulations! Do tell us what you think if it, sound samples and more pics are required!!!
