Budget USB Microphone for House Practice

Hi,
Me (bass) and my friend (guitar) have been at my house for a while now and it is time for slowling record our playing sessions. So I was thinking of getting a usb mic to plug into my computer and save our sessions.

We don't really have much of a budget, me being a student, around 60Euros and I live in Denmark. I just need smt that can record us playing together and the music/both instruments are audible.

Donno what's available to you in your undisclosed country...

But a quick search through Sweetwater and Musician's Friend websites will turn up many candidates.
I have one from a Musicians Friend Deal of the Day and it works fine, although I rarely use it these days, preferring DI for the stringed instruments. I'll pull it out again once we start recording flute.

My impression is that a low-mid USB microphone will outperform a cheap mike + recording interface of equivalent total cost.

Cool, thanks. My advice is the same - search the websites to survey what's available in your range, then go looking for availability. Thomann gets mentioned a lot, but I have no first-hand knowledge.

If you are just using a mic to pick up the the sound of both instruments, you will need a condensor (phantom powered) mic. There are a number of budget options.

If you're not trying to make multitrack recordings for complete song projects, I would suggest saving yourself a few bucks for now and just use the voice recorder or sound recording app on your phone (if you have one).

Check out Monoprice. I remember they have a couple of nice mics and at least one USB for awesome prices.
