If you actually checked out the site, you'd see that the only bass option is on a P bass template. It's not design from scratch.

Couldn't get the builder to work, but I did find Fender of Japan. They build some very nice looking j basses. Is there a US distributor, or do you have to deal direct with them?

I think people have done it before. Either find a Japanese retailer who wants to ship, or a third-party. I kind of remember some thread about it way back.

I've done (mail order) business with Japanese hobby shops, but (silly me) brain farted on doing the same with a Japanese musical instrument retailer. Thanks for reminding me.

This thing is awesome!! I hate most pickguards so I'm glad you can take it off with this.
Anyway, this is one of my dream basses. It's kinda similar to a Fender PB-551 (which I would LOVE to have), but there are a few differences of course.
