Building a bass...

I'm going to be starting a little project of building a bass, maybe two, just for fun. I am NOT looking for any special kind of bass, and I know I can end up dumping a lot of money into it if I'm not carefull, but I'm not concerned about all of that. I just want to do this to keep me busy when I'm not playing my bass.

I was wanting to know if you all know of any good online companies that sell quality guitar parts. I see a bunch of parts on eBay, but I feel that a lot of those are questionable at best. If I'm going to do this, I want to do it right the first time, and use good, quality parts.

If anybody knows of any sites to check out, please post the links here.

Thanks for the great links and info. However, I'll stay away from that "warmouth" dot com since I'm not exactly into hurting myself. LOL

And klocwerk, thanks for that tip. I completely forgot about that forum section of the board.

And yes, new addiction, new hobbie, new whatever you want to call it, it seems that everything I get interested in is also pricey! Oh well.
