Built in parametric EQ on my 6 string

Dear Justin,
I've been discussing some EQing questions with my custom luthier and we we're thinking of doing custom wound pickups, but the primary thing I wanted to check with you was which frequencies you think my built in preamp should emphasize?
And also, do you think inserting LEDs would affect my tone?
I wouldn't want to ruin my purpleheart/bubinga setup!

Just messin with ya, have a great New Year! :D

With a custom bass and custom pickups (type, placement, etc. unknown) it is hard to say which frequencies will be important. But with a parametric EQ, you don't need to know that now, that's the charm of parametric EQs :)

& LEDs make the tone brighter ;)

come on man, you can't mix purpleheart and bubinga. i'd recommend borneo padauk, or maybe bolivian marblewood.

even these woods are inferior to pure steer skull, however.

i would suggest putting LED's directly into the eye-sockets, and programming them to flash during your solo.

bass regards.
