Obviously there is conflicting information....The only way you will find out for sure is to inspect the speaker.
Frank May or may not be alnico, I'm not sure.
That being said, I didn't know Vox made speakers. The Bell in the back can be an indication that it's alnico, but some ceramic speakers also have Bell covers like that.
The bell is cosmetic and can usually be removed so you can see the magnet. The article I linked indicated Oxford was contracted to make Gold Bulldogs. Maybe another company made a ceramic version.
I use the alnico Celestion Blue Bulldog in guitar amps. This was used by Vox in some amps such as the AC30. Vox brands their logo on the speaker but it is a Celestion.
Over the years Vox used different types of speakers. They were ceramic at one point. I had one AC30 with Celestion G12M greenbacks in it, alnico speakers were an option.
