Yep, the X-Vice stuff works great, until it doesn’t. Eventually, he will have issues due to the 2.4G band. Ask me how I know…..

I sold my x-Vive unit. The product description says not to use it with active basses but I thought I’d try anyway. It worked fine with my passive basses however they were right regarding active basses. Lots of clipping with a hot signal.

Resurrecting this thread…..new to wireless units but about to pull the trigger on the GLDX16+. One reason is that it can mount on or near my pedal board saving me from having two long cable runs on large festival stages. Folks still like this unit? With saved up Amazon credits I can get it for under $500.

I just bought the shure model mentioned above.
Very impressed. Smallish ( slightly larger than a boss pedal) and works on 5.8 as well as 2.4
Sound quality is as you’d expect and I set the tuner to strobe mode ( which I prefer)

I just did as well and will do the same. I have my first large festival next Friday, huge stage, opening for Dirty Honey. I haven’t really needed one up til now and would have had to get 50 foot cables, etc.
