Buying a new bass?

Hey im thinking about buying a new bass, I really loved the feel of the Ibanez short scale GSM20.. anyone have any thoughts on whether its a good move or not since I've always used a standard size ibanez

they don't really bother me, but i'm not really doing insanely complicated bass lines where i need to do very long reaches or use every fret on the fret board either
