buying an empty cab?

Hey everybody,

I'm looking for a decent 2X10 bass cab to plug my old 60s bassman head to plug into. So far I'm most impressed with Aviator, but I was hoping there would be a way that I could get a well made empty cab, find schematics for the electronics, and then put in some folded speakers.

Any thoughts? Speaker suggestions?

No - for a standard cab, you'll get a better deal buying pre-made. (Avatar, Carvin, ...)
If you want to build a folded horn, then you will be able to build a better cab than you can buy for the money. See billfitzmaurice.com

+1... You want 2-10's horn loaded? Best design for those is the Fitzmaurice O12TB, tweeterless. Check the forum on Bill's site, pics and reviews to see... I'm building an O15TB w/2-12's, and the build is very easy if you measure and cut well..
