Buying and Returning Basses

Maybe someone with experience buying a 70-inch HDTV from Costco and returning it after Super Bowl weekend could help.

That is EXACTLY the scenario I was going to post. No one sniffs when someone does this type of thing, and it's the exact same thing....except this type of thing kinda pisses me off too.

I understand the OP is no longer pursuing this line of thinking...but still.

whats wrong with a MIM fender. mine sounds great and plays great. it just weighs a metric ton.

i have a musicman and a mim fender you can borrow if ur near central PA

although i'm worried i may not get it back..

About 4 years ago, Costco did have to make a big change in its return policy for TV's and other electronic devices because of abuse of the return policy. They severely reduced the window of opportunity for a return on these items.

Moral/ethical arguments aside, when the books reflect a dent in profits, the stores will adjust, and that will mean either limited return policies or inflated prices.

So to those of you who think this is not a problem, it most objectively is a problem when return policies shrink and I have to pull more money out of my pocket.

I meant in a general sense, as with the T.V.'s it seems like common practice as well...I definitely sniff too. I swear that's why places like Rent a Center exist... but everyone ignores them.
