I suggested the svt-CL because for the 2nd hand price it is a fantastic bass amp that cuts better than most amps, since volume was on the topic.
If you can get the five position frequency selector to do anything then i'll give up my one trick pony remark. The knob may as well not be there because its changes are insignificant to my ears. And when I say the tone is incredibly limited, I mean its tone can't be tinkered with too much. I don't mean that the tone is bad, rather i love it's tone, but i can't get it to do anything other than what it already does. A great entry level tube head.
