Double Bass buzz on high D

i'm getting a buzz when i finger a high d on the d string and pizz it. any ideas how i can fix it?

Just kick back end enjoy it!
Which d? One or two octaves up from open?
If you have an adjustable bridge, maybe raising it a touch might help. Does it always buzz? Maybe you need to be a little more careful with your LH technique... And of course there is reworking the fingerboard ($$).

My thoughts would be a uneven spot on the fingerboard or if its more of a rattle somethings lose, tuning machines, endpin, tailpieces even. Also certain things that would rattle could be tuned to only the D harmonic, my radiator cover's tuned to C, that would be my guess.

check the nut and see if you can slip a business card under the string up to the nut. the nut can wear causing the string to become too close to the fingerboard. mine is being repaired as i write.
