Buzzin Avatar 210Neo!!!

This is my first post. I recently purchased a Avatar 210 Neo. I have used it live three times. I was playin through the cab last night and noticed that there was a buzz comin from the drivers at lower freq. It sounds as if something is leaning on BOTH Drivers. I have placed both drivers in other combos to see if it is the Avatar box or the drivers. IT is the drivers. Could this be that the drivers are not broken in or could I be lucky enough to get two broken drivers? How many times can I type "Drivers"! Any help would be great. Thanks to all.

i would email dave at avatar and ask him for his diagnosis. in my experiance that they dont buzz when there not broken in, theyre just not as full sounding.

btw i wouldnt mention to him that you took it apart and put them in another box, and then put them back. if someone said that to me the first thing id suggest is wiring problems

I havent put them back in the avatar box yet. If they are buzzen in different box's, then how could it be wiring problems?

It couldn't. Buzzing usually signifies a damaged driver.

If you overpowered sufficiently to damage one it would logically damage both.

I had a Neo 210 that Buzzed at low frequencies when pushed a little, and the speakers themselves were creased causing the problem. I pushed them way too hard the night before with a Mesa 400+ and did them in. Just replace the speakers and have had no problems since.

I dont believe I over powered them. I drive them with 450watts and I have read that under powering a speaker will not ruin it only over driving will. Is there any other way to see if they are blown?

E-mail dave. He is a good guy to talk to, and he can probably fix you up. I have run mine quite hot before and it stayed strong.
