Buzzing after new pickups installed

I just had some new Aguilar pickups installed in an Ibanez with an active onboard preamp. Buzzing was not an issue until I got it back with the new pickups. The buzzing gets better when I touch any metal on the bass, so from reading the FAQ, it sounds like it's not a grounding issue?

The pickups each have 3 wires coming out; black, gray, and white. The black wires go to the volume pot, but it looks like the white and gray (gray is ground) were twisted together and soldered to the pickup selector pot. Is that right?

The gray should also go to ground.
