Cab Decision: 410 & 210 or 410 & 115

Yes, assuming a 2 ohm capable head, the 4 ohm 410 + 8 ohm 210 are from the same maker, with the same drivers and similar cabinet volume/geometry per driver. Otherwise get a 15/6/1 fEARful, which IME is smaller, lighter, and almost as about loud.

I did the 410 + 210 thing with Epifani UL1 cabs. Beats the heck out of lugging two 90 lbs.
410 cabs, and so much better sounding than my previous 210/115 and 410/115 (all SWR goliath and son-of bertha cabs).

My sorrow for the OP is that HE GOT A COMBO 210. IMHO & IME, combos are a trap, and are often ultimately more expensive.

Don't be sorry..... The combo with extension cab sounds Superb!

Like I said I did own the Fender V3 500 head and two V3 410 cabs for a short time. I have no regrets swapping for the V3 210 Combo and V3 115 Extension. This combo sounds massive.

Out of those choices? the 210/410. Don't mix different sized drivers, or same size but different model, drivers. That is what I have learned here. The 210/115 or 410/115 is all about misinformation and "the look". I think it all goes back to the Hartke aluminum cone cabs. That 15 looks like it means bass business, sitting below the 410, which looks like it is ready to handle the mids and highs.
Nope.. Nope.
I, personally, recommend two 15 cabs. But that is me..

A 210/410 will work if the 210 is an 8-ohm cab & the 410 is a 4-ohm cab and the amp supports a 2-ohm load. Actually a 115/410 could work, too, if the 115 is an 8-ohm & the 410 is a 4-ohm. Still needs a 2-ohm-stable amp.

A 210/115 will work if they're both 8-ohm or both 4-ohm. If both are 4-ohms, though, the amp needs to support a 2-ohms load again.

But identical cabs are still better bets.

My bad. Forgot load info. Could use a Harkte LH1000 to balance volume and load.
