Cab for a Trace V-Type 300h

I was wondering what cab people typically user with a TE v-type 300h. I am just using a cheapo Yamaha cab, which is leaving me sort of disappointed in my current setup. If someone could recommend something to replace the Yamaha that was not super expensive (say under 800 dollars or so) that would be great. It runs at 4ohms, if that helps any.

PS. Sorry for another "what would you recommend thread?".

Hey there. i have a 300h and i have been running it with the Carvin BR115 for awhile. This setup has been great, but its not very tight or bright by any means--its very dark. In fact, I almost always play with the bright switch on. I bought it because it was only $300 bucks but it has served me well. If I bought a new cab I would go larger, and I would definately check out some ten inch speakers. A bigger cab is going to offer more volume. I think a 610 would be a GREAT match for this head (cough cough berg NV).

With that being said there arent many new 610's that are under $800. There might be some used ones that pop up.

I'd also possibly look at getting older/used trace elliot cabinets. Avatar cabs are also another great option that you cant go wrong: www.avatarspeakers.com
