Cab for Hartke HA3500

I just bought a Hartke HA3500 head. In the owner's manual it said that it can be run through either a 4 ohm or an 8 ohm speaker cab, each providing different wattage. It recommended using one 4 ohm speaker cab or two 8 ohm speaker cabs. But can I run it through just one 8 ohm cab? Or will that damage my equipment?

Thanks for any input. By the way first post...what's up

It will run fine through an 8 ohm box. It wont put out the full wattage is all but wont make that much of a difference in volume and will actually run cooler and give you the option of adding another 8 ohm box with it in the future if you need it.
