Cab suggestions for 1001rb ii

My recent purchase of the rb has me satisfied 100%. But I wanted to pick the TB brains. Right now it runs through a single Neo 210 at one practice. That’s no problem the band is very volume conscious. The hardcore band is a different story it’s just loud and has only gotten louder. We got a new drummer and he abuses his kit like his life depends on it. Guitarist is very good with his volume. My worry is that the 2 210 cabs are getting more juice than I would like, they don’t fart out or have not given me reason to think they would be in danger. More preventative maintenance. The other cab is an old set goliath, it sounds really good but it’s a pain to move. So my question is if you were in my shoes would you just monitor the neos closely or go for a more wattage inline set of cabs. I want it to be portable but also have peace of mind that it will be good to use as a back line.

EDIT: I have searched and a lot of suggestions I see are for barefaced or Schroeder cabs.

Maybe you could shop sensitivity instead of watts. Your current rigs are meeting your needs, and its time to get a little more convenient schlep. Valid choice may be to just replicate your cab stable with more sensitive cabs.

I went unconventional w/ a MojoTone 212 loaded w/ Neo's. And it really throws a punch.

Get 2 modern 210 that have ratings of 400w and you are good to go. I would go with two light 410s like Markbass (I'm in Europe) instead of 2x 210 but that's just me. Single 410 or 2x 210 are fine but I like some reserve and not driving them too hard.

A G.K. head will sound good to great with just about any manufacturers cabinet/cabinets you care to match it up with.

You'll have to A/B as many different cabs as you can find so you can hear what works best for your ears.

In years gone by, my favorite gigging combination was a G.K. head into a Ampeg 8x10.
Had the Ying/Yang thing going on.
The G.K.'s clean clarity with the feeling of a fast transient into the Ampeg's sealed cabinet punchyness and it's slight woolyness sound.
"My ears" loved it!

Nowadays, what's working for me, is a G.K. Fusion MB800 head into a front ported Bergantino CN212 cabinet for large outdoor jobs, and a single front ported, Avatar 210 Neo cab with the Fusion for indoor jobs.

Looking at the 210 neos they have all the specs that should be alright just not the watts. The sensitivity is 97

that’s the situation I’m in now the neos are only rated to 400 so I’m a hair above what they are safely rated for but they sound good and are portable. Basically if they could handle 100 more watts each I’d be set

I don't understand. Modern 210 cabs are usually 400-500w and 1001RB is 700w at 4 ohms so what's the problem? And do you mean Neo = GK 210 Neo II-IV? They are rated to 400w 8 ohms. Perfect match.

And like I said earlier I would go with 2x 410 to get better sound and cabs would not need to work that hard. I use 210 and 410 which is good compromise, but you need to look the impedances so that 210 has double to keep power spread correct. GK won't go into 2.7ohm so you cannot practically do it. Either you continue with 2x 210 or upgrade to 2x 410 or comparable stack (2x 212, 2x 115 etc). 115 is comparable to 210 but practically delivers more IMO, don't ask me why.

I have the tilt back 210s so they are rated to 400. So what does the rb really put out at 8 ohms. I’ve seen 460, 400, 380. Not trying to sound dumb just confused. My main question is based on the fact I know it’s not wise to have more watts then your cab is rated for

Sweet! I really like the 210s and I want to make sure I don’t abuse them that’s all. But I’ll definitely look into the 4x12 I’m also looking into DNA cabs since they have a lot of good specs
